DAY FOUR! - Shopping...

While not quite my thing and something I was a bit worried about with having Taylor on this mission, our shopping day went really smoothly!  Emily is an efficient shopper.  She had all the stores mapped out, where the sales were, where the stores were located and what she wanted from each!  We decided to split up, so as not to slow Emily down and crash what would otherwise be a successful excursion, so my pictures are more of a "in the meantime" theme, with me entertaining Taylor as Emily finished up.  Afterwards, with being too tired for trampoline world, they went for a swim in Mike's pool, where Taylor did a Youtube update in anticipation of having her own channel, something Emily unwillingly became a part of:)  The link is below.

Taylor did not wake me until 6:45 this morning and while Emily wasn't so lucky, she did stay in bed for a bit afterwards, which was an improvement. Emily is being a great sport while we acknowledge these great feats.

Day Three - Sue’s Camp!

Today we headed out to the Top’s camp. Sue Top, a friend of mine invited us out to meet her family.  She, her husband Andrew and her two children, Mavis and Desbin, were great hosts to Emily, Taylor, my friend Lisa, Lisa’s granddaughter Penny and I. Their cute and unique cottage rests on a hill in Low, Quebec, above a gorgeous and quiet lake. The kids swam for hours playing on the raft and jumping from the dock.  Emily made a new friend and Taylor behaved all day!  We had a bbq for lunch and were going to go tubing but a thunderstorm moved in around 4, so we gathered in the camp and headed back to Ottawa for the night. It was a peaceful and welcoming experience. Thanks Sue! Emily had a great time and says swimming was her favourite part. We managed to tire Taylor out once more and she happily went to bed at bedtime:) Lisa and Penny had a great time too! With all of that swimming I am sure they will all sleep well tonight. Myself included:)

DAY THREE! LAC LOW

Today we are heading to my friend's cottage where we can swim, kayak and go tubing!  We are all packed up and ready to go! Wish us luck!  Taylor would like to let her Youtube fans to know that she will be posting another video soon.  Below is our before picture for the day.

DAY TWO - RIPLINING

RIPLINING!

On route back and while still in Quebec, we stopped outside of Wakefield at the Great Canadian Bungee, where both Emily and Taylor went riplining!   Weighing in at 79lbs, Taylor was one lb short of being heavy enough to bungy jump but still made a statistic with being the youngest child to zipline over the lagoon.  Both required little encouragement and managed to hike up and take off without issue.

On route home, I announced that we would go shower and change and then head to Buskerfest for a few hours, to which I received a hard no!  Both Emily and Taylor were exhausted and wanted to put on their pajammas.  Taylor passed out on the couch just before 8:00 and didn't wake until 6:00 a.m. (one hour later) Monday morning!  We are slowly making improvements:)

DAY TWO - SWIMMING

SWIMMING!

On route back from Lusk Cave and in Lac Phillip, we took a break and cooled down in the lake.  Kamili swam out over his head, for the first time, and on his own.  I can safely say he is a good swimmer!  However, the longer we swam, the more it became apparent to him that he can only do the dog paddle for so long.  Not having to carry Taylor during this, Mike held up Kamili so he could stay with us but not have to paddle the whole time.

DAY TWO - CAVING!

CAVING!
After hiking 5 km into Lusk Cave, we had so much fun going through, that we went twice!  Taylor seemed to love this as much as Emily and did not cry or refuse to continue while going through.  Kamili continues to be a short with these activities, but last night slept with Taylor and didn't move at all when kicked in the head...
